WODS Adult Summer Leagues 2017!
WODS is excited to be offering a BRAND NEW option for individual registration: Fantasy Ultimate League (Wednesdays only)
Details: Similar to professional sports fantasy leagues, players' performance is tracked using game statistics, which affects the players value. Team managers will then make trades through the season to balance their teams. It's going to be fun, competitive, and very social!
Additional perks include: premium fields, record of your stats, and tons of prizes and awards at the end of season!
Format: Players will register as individuals (and can expect to be traded at some point throughout the season as each team’s General Manager will have to balance their budget!); co-ed 7v7 play; ratio of 4:3 as determined by receiving team
Roster Capacity: 54 males and 42 females (6 teams of 16 players)
Dates: 16 week season from May 10, 2017 to August 23, 2017
Game Times: 6:30pm - 8:25pm
Location: Kiwanis Ultimate Park, Kitchener
*All payments can be made via email money transfer to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Once a registration has been received, the individual will have 2 weeks to submit their payment for the season. If payment is not received within 2 weeks, the individual's spot may be given to an individual on the league waiting list.
Interested in being a General Manager?
Being a General Manager involves a level of commitment to your team which means ensuring it meets the salary cap requirements of the league. General Managers will meet weekly with the Commissioner to conduct trades. General Managers will be selected at random from the pool of applicants and as a thank you for their commitment to leading a team, they will be given a 50% discount on the player fee.
Interested in being a Statistics Collector?
This type of league cannot survive without volunteers to act as stat collectors. Currently we’re seeking 6 volunteer stat collectors (1 per team), but would encourage more to begin a volunteer pool. Stat collectors should not be players in the league as they need to be dedicated to this task throughout game times.
At the end of both seasons of play, all volunteer stat collectors will be entered into a draw for $100. Every game worked will count as an entry into the draw.
